Get Ready for November

For most folks, November marks the beginning of the winter holiday season.  Lots happening in November; here are some important dates:

   November 1 is All Saints’ Day

   November 2 is Election Day- every vote counts!

   November 4 is Will Rogers Day

   November 7 at 2 am is the end of Daylight Saving Time so set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night at bedtime

   November 11 is Veterans Day- we salute and thank all of our Veterans for their service and sacrifice

   November 25 is Thanksgiving Day

   November 28 marks the start of Hanukkah at sundown

 

No list would be complete without noting these important dates:

   November 1 is National Cook for Your Pets Day

   November 3 is Zero-Tasking Day

   November 19 is November’s full Moon, called the Beaver Moon (why, you ask? In the Colonial era, this was the month to set one’s beaver traps before swamps froze and beavers retired to their lodges, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs)

   November 21 is World Hello Day
